From the Karasawa cirque to the pass

From Yokoo, the trail enters the Karasawa valley; at the foot of the cirque, colorful tents cover the boulder field. We then climb to Hotakadake-Sansō, on the pass at nearly 3,000 m, where the sun sets above the sea of clouds.
