From Hatajuku to Lake Ashi

From Hatajuku, the old Tōkaidō climbs over large mossy paving stones between cedars and bamboo to the pass above the lake. At Moto-Hakone, the shrine’s red torii stands on the shore of Lake Ashi. The day ends in the park on the peninsula and at the checkpoint gate.
