A loop in the Hakuba range
From July 16 to 18, 2011, three stages link Sarukura, Yari-Onsen and Hakuba-Sansō before returning via the great snowfield. Across the slopes of the Hakuba range, long bands of snow still lie beside the green slopes of summer.
The Yari on this trip is in the Hakuba range. It is distinct from the Yarigatake we hiked in 2007, farther south in the Northern Alps.
